Walk to the Graham Center and join a club, or go outside and take a seat with the yoga class on the lawn. Join a fraternity or sorority and go Greek, or, if you have the voice, apply at our radio station: WRGP Radiate FM. Here at FIU, we encourage you to get involved and become a member of the FIU family.

Go beyond the campus you'll see the eclectic qualities of our city. The culture and charm of Calle Ocho awaits you just around the corner. Find the glowing reflection of South Beach and Ocean Drive on the saltwater, or the elegance and aesthetic of our Design District near Midtown. Every neighborhood and community is rich with opportunity, character and life. Let South Florida compliment your academic journey.
Don't go to class on an empty stomach.

Make sure to get some grub before getting to class. We have a Fresh Food Co., Pollo Tropical and a Chili's Too inside the Graham Center (GC). Satisfy your cravings at the PG5 complex with Moe’s, Chic-fil-A, Papa John’s, or one of the many other spots.
Grab your shopping list and check out our on-campus retailers.

Fall at FIU means it’s time for football, volleyball and soccer. Join your FIU family in the stands and cheer our athletes on. If you’re joining us in the spring, be sure to catch a baseball or basketball game.

The Patricia and Phillip Frost Art Museum is open every day except Monday, so check out one of their exhibits. Immerse yourself in our Theatre department’s stage plays. And there's always a concert going on at our School of Music.

Time for some R & R
After a long day, go back to your dorm and relax. Maybe catch up on some studying. Our resident halls are fully equipped to meet your needs with weekly resident activities, a private pool area, and study areas on each floor. Take a look at our resident halls and find your home away from home.

The Steven and Dorothea Green Library (GL) is one of the nation’s top research facilities.. Along with books spanning thousands of subjects, the building has study areas, quiet study rooms (you can reserve one) and even a Starbucks downstairs (for coffee runs). There’s no other building on campus that plunges you further into the academic environment than the Steven and Dorothea Green Library (GL).
