Student WebCT Instructions

1. Open Nestcape Navigator or Internet Explorer.
2. To enter the WebCT log on page, go to the FIU home page (www.fiu.edu)

1. Scroll down the page and click on Online Campus and WebCT link at the bottom-left of the page.
2. Click on WebCT 3.6 Courses
3. Click on Log on to myWebCT, OR
4. Type webct.fiu.edu into the Address/Location box near the top of your browser window.

3. Key your username and password to enter WebCT

1. Username is ALL CAPS
2. Your username is your userid from your FIU e-mail address. (If your email address is fgarcia01@fiu.edu then your username in WebCT is FGARCIA01)

Note: Students are assigned an email account and address when they enroll. If you don’t know it, you can access your email address on the University Web site at http://www.fiu.edu/docs/webmail.htm That page has a link to clear instructions for students who are logging in for the first time. You can also find your username directly by typing your social security number in the following searcher. It is generally the first letter of your name, your last name and 01.

3. Your WebCT password is your social security number.

4. When you sign in, you will see a list of the courses you have access to in WebCT. Click on the course you are registered for.
