"Tech Prep Spotlight On The Voices of Florida Tech Prep"

TECH PREP has been the catalyst that has caused me to change the way I teach. No longer are my students in quiet, straight rows - as bored with the lesson as I. The philosophy of TECH PREP has guided me to structure my instruction to reflect the "real world" as much as possible. Teaming, cooperative learning, and peer evaluation in the classroom are a few of the many strategies I have come to use in the TECH PREP classroom. My lessons are linked to situations that the students can relate to, while reflecting real world applications.
Classroom discipline is no longer an issue. The students in TECH PREP are engaged in their learning and realize the importance of school to their future success. Their seriousness about learning is evident by the high percentage of students who plan to continue their education in their career path upon high school graduation.
I seem to always be in a state of continuous self-improvement because of TECH PREP. Trying new teaching methods and experimenting with new materials is no longer a stressful experience. Being a teacher has never been as exciting and enjoyable for me as it is now.
