Advising All students majoring in Women's Studies or completing one of our certificates are strongly encouraged to meet with an academic advisor at least once per academic year. Click Address/Phone under "Contact Us" to access the names and contact information for our graduate student advisors and program director. Academic advisors can help you find scheduled courses that you need to complete your program, recommend courses related to your interests, coordinate petition approvals, confirm eligibility for graduation, and advise you about your options for graduate school. Degree Audit (SASS Report) All students who have ever taken a class at Florida International University can access their Student Academic Support System (SASS) degree audit report. Your SASS report is your degree audit that will tell you what you have already done and what you have left to do in order to complete your Major. Students should bring their SASS audit report for advising (unless you have never taken a class at FIU). CLAST: Students are required to pass four sub-tests of the College-Level Academic Skills Test (CLAST) for admission to upper-division status and the award of a Bachelor’s degree in a state university in Florida. To schedule an appointment for CLAST or CLEP, or to ask further questions, please contact the University Testing Center. Also, see the Registrar's page at http://registrar.fiu.edu/ Freshman and sophomores should contact the Academic Advising Center for information about the university core curriculum, transfer credits, and other advising matters not related to their majors.
