OPPORTUNITIES: Work on an international festival - marketing, promotion, and database maintenance.
HOURS NEEDED: M-F, 9:00am - 5:00pm, Flexible. 20-25 hours per semester.
COMMENTS: Provides service learners an excellent opportunity to view and participate in the production of first class musical and theatrical performances.

DESCRIPTION: Touching Miami with Love is an inner-city program designed to transform people and their communities. TML's After-School Program is an extension of the Children's Program that works with at-risk children to improve educational competence, to provide creative and recreational activities, and to nurture and mentor children through loving relationships.
OPPORTUNITIES: TUTORING children K-6 in math, reading, or creative arts; or LEADING small groups in character-building exercises or recreation.
HOURS NEEDED: One afternoon a week 3:00-5:30pm, Monday-Thursday.

TOUCHING MIAMI WITH LOVE'S HOMELESS PROGRAM, Downtown Miami

DESCRIPTION: Touching Miami with Love is an inner-city organization that transforms people and their communities. TML's Homeless Program offers day storage for the homeless person's belongings and provides some informal referrals to other agencies.
OPPORTUNITIES: On going interaction with homeless through assisting staff in oversight of day storage check-out; learning the city-wide services offered to indigents; possibility of assisting in small-group study or Sunday Mission where relationships are built with individual homeless persons.
HOURS NEEDED: One or two afternoons a week Mon. - Fri., 4:00pm-5:00pm, some weekend opportunities.
