DESCRIPTION: KIDCO provides early care and education programs through individualized curriculum and services.
OPPORTUNITIES: Hands-on participation in the classroom with children up to five years of age, help implement individualized curriculum, help meet the needs of their families, and other support services. Opportunities also involve office experience working with the Administration answering phones, filing, copying, and data entry as well as computer programming.
HOURS NEEDED: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5:30pm
COMMENTS: Service-learners will be given an orientation, which will include agency literature and task modeling. KIDCO has four child care sites: KIDCO I at 221 NE 36 Street, KIDCO II at 123 NE 36 Street, and KIDCO III at 3628 NE 1 court, and KIDCO IV at 300 NW 2 AVE.

DESCRIPTION: Kids Voting is curriculum-based program currently available to all schools in the county. It is designed to teach children about the value, importance, and responsibility of voting.

DESCRIPTION: Allows handicapped children to ride ponies and horses a part of their ongoing physical therapy program.
OPPORTUNITIES: Assist children by leading horses and walk alongside horse and child.
HOURS NEEDED: Saturday, 8:30am-1:00pm
