DESCRIPTION: FFLN provides home delivered meals, and groceries through a food bank and nutritional education to Miami-Dade's low-income individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS. FFLN serves 1,200 clients per week (of which 250 are children infected or affected).
OPPORTUNITIES: Volunteers are needed to help FFLN pack foods and groceries in our Food Bank, help clients at the front desk, data entry, assist the staff nutritionist and dietician with client nutritional records and general office assistance.
HOURS NEEDED: Monday-Friday 9am - 5pm.
COMMENTS: Volunteers need to attend an orientation. Orientations are scheduled once a month or by an appointment if applicable. We need your help and compassion. Please call at the above number. FFLN is 10 minutes from the Wolfson Campus. Bus 9 and 10 run in front of the office.

DESCRIPTION: This is a Full Service School. We offer services like medical, dental, vision and social services. This school is located in Overtown and goes through 5th grade. Student population is 58% Hispanic, 40% Black, 1% other, and 1% White.
OPPORTUNITIES: One-on-one tutoring--especially in reading! Computer assistance/instruction to both students and staff. Conflict resolution and any other type of educational presentations are needed too.
HOURS NEEDED: 8:30 am - 3 p.m., school days
COMMENTS: The vast majorities of the children at Douglass are from low-income homes and would really benefit from your help. Ms. Carmona will put you to work depending on your interests and schedule! Give them a call and sign-up for one of the orientations.
