We are committed to improving the quality of life by providing a safe environment through the prevention of crime, preservation of life and property, and the safeguarding of individual rights and freedoms. We are dedicated to the philosophy of community-oriented policing. The mission of the FIU Police Department is to provide service in a collaborative effort with community members, to enforce state laws and university policies in a professional manner to empower and develop our personnel to achieve excellence, and to guide our actions based on integrity, honesty and fairness to support and facilitate an educational environment.
