9.4. STUDENTS' RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Effective: March 28, 1989

AUTHORITY/SOURCE

Provost and Executive Vice President

POLICY

The University has developed policies and procedures on the rights and responsibilities of students and a code of conduct assuring that these rights can be freely exercised without interference or infringement by others. The code of conduct, academic misconduct policies, student grievance procedures and policies on student records are reported in detail in the University publication Rights and Responsibilities of Students. If departments have policies and procedures that go beyond the basic requirements, their policies and procedures manuals must include relevant explanations and must be made available to the students.
