Description of the Summer Implementation Plan (Middle School): Talent Search provides  the participants with a five week experience that is centered around marine biology. They  will be offered both theoretical and practical academic programs based on the Sunshine  State Standards. The students will also spend three hours each week doing FCAT  preparation. However, the summer program is geared towards activities focused on marine  biology.

 Description of the Summer Implementation Plan (High School): Talent Search provides the  participants with a five week experience that is centered around career choices and  researching their choices. They will be offered both theoretical and practical academic  exercises based on the Sunshine State Standards. The students will also spend five hours  each week doing SAT preparation. However, the summer program is geared towards  activities focused on career development.

 Credit: The course work is worth 1.0 credit for both Middle and High School Students.

 Students Eligibility Criteria: Middle & High School students grades 6, 7, 8 and 9,10,11  respectively who have applied and are eligible for the Talent Search Program.

 Program Location: Florida International University, Biscayne Bay Campus.

 Transportation: Transportation will be provided by Miami-Dade County Public Schools.
