- Develops community service placements appropriate
to the academic goals and objectives of your course.
- Asssits faculty with the planning and preparation
of integrating of service with academic study.
- Presents uplifting and informative classroom
presentations on the service-learning component of your course.
- We do the legwork: provide placement, follow-up,
monitoring, evaluation, and recognition of students.
- Facilitates rap sessions for all students to
reflect critically on their service experiences.
- Offers professional development opportunities
(workshops, national conferences,etc.) for faculty with an interest in
service-learning.
- Promotes courses with service-learning components
in The Vital Times, and other local, state, and national media outlets.
- Implements pre- and post-service surveys to map
student progress and offers an end of the semester evaluation of the service-learning
experiences.
