Leadership Retreat

Learn the nuts and bolts of community based organizing from some of the experts in the field. FIU alumni and community leaders come together for two days of workshops and FUN!

Canoeing With Kids*

Help navigate a canoe down the south Florida waterways as we learn about our environment and bond with disadvantaged youth.

Feed the Homeless

Monday, September 29, 5:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Help feed the homeless population of downtown Miami and get a sense of what life on the streets is truly like! This project will open your eyes!

Habitat for Humanity

Saturday, October 11, 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Assist us in building homes for low-income families. A true volunteer effort as we work side-by-side with the families to help them move off the streets and into a home. No experience in home building necessary. ALL skill levels are welcome!

Cape Florida Restoration Project

Friday, October 17, 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Key Biscayne needs our help! Ravaged by exotic species and then Hurricane Andrew, this project puts us in touch with the necessity for environmental stewardship and responsibility. Help make it a success!

A Child's Haunted House

Friday, October 31, 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

We will help set-up and run the first ever haunted house at the American Cancer Society's Winn-Dixie Hope Lodge. These are kids with cancer and we will work to make this a special night for all kids!

Adopt-A-Grandparent

Saturday, November 7, 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Meet some of the most interesting people around as we spend the day with our adopted grandparents at the Fairhavens Nursing Home. Storytelling and games will abound!

Global Dinner

Wednesday, November 12, 6:30 p.m.- 9:30 p.m.

GC Ballroom

Learn about the problems of Global Hunger by examining local hunger issues. Cost is $5.00 with all proceeds going to local non-profit agencies


Food for Life Network Food Drive

Saturday, November 15, 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Work to collect food for patients with HIV/Aids. Students will learn a lot about this issue!
