Impact OnLine: The Volunteer Exchange
As the only agency of its kind in the county, the Volunteer Exchange mobilizes volunteers to helping solve community problems. Initial services of the Exchange have included recruiting county residents and referring them to nonprofit agencies that have registered specific volunteer opportunities with the Exchange. The Volunteer Exchange also offers training and networking sessions to the administrators of volunteer programs within nonprofit agencies, municipalities, businesses and schools.

One of the more interesting areas in this excellent site is Impact OnLine's "best in Nonprofit web-sites" which covers the best sites in many areas including: AIDS, Animal Rights, Community Service, Children, Children's Rights, Ecology/ Environment, Education, Foundations, Health Issues, Homeless (including- 54 Ways You can Help the Homeless), Housing, Human Rights, Humanitarian Aid, Hunger, International, Media Issues, Mental Health, Peace Issues, Prison Issues, and Women.

Hands On Atlanta, Inc.
is a nonprofit volunteer service organization which promotes volunteerism and direct community involvement among concerned people in Atlanta. We encourage community involvement by offering diverse volunteer opportunities and the ability to flexibly schedule your volunteer time. Since our inception in 1989, Hands On Atlanta has grown from a few dozen volunteers to a volunteer corps of over three thousand.

Volunteers Exchange International
What is VEI?
VEI is the US member committee of an international network of volunteers. The Federation of the International Christian Youth Exchange (ICYE). The ICYE Federation consists of 31 member nations who are committed to the challenge of international exchange.

Who can Participate?
VEI seeks persons dedicated to the concepts of volunteerism and community service. There are no language nor academic requirements. Candidates are screened individually and are accepted on the basis of their motivation, flexibility, and willingness to participate.

What do our Volunteers do?
Exchange Volunteers from all countries are hosted by an ICYE commtittee in another country. The local ICYE committee places all volunteers with local community service agencies. Placements are made on an individual basis by the hosting committee.
