The Department of Theatre provides its students with a quality, comprehensive, pre-professional  undergraduate education that transforms them into the next generation of passionate theatre professionals.

Philosophy of Our Faculty

Theatre must be practiced as well as studied. The faculty regards department productions as teaching laboratories.  In order to ensure that every theatre major gets production experience all theatre majors are required to participate in productions. We believe the actual practice of creating theatre supplements what we teach in the classroom and delivers a well-rounded, knowledgeable professional into the theatre community.
