Viva FRAS Vegas was the theme for the 2008 Florida Resident Assistant Symposium (FRAS), an annual conference attended by resident assistants from 27 Florida colleges and universities. FIU Resident Assistants from the Biscayne Bay Campus and University Park campus attended the conference and represented FIU in gold and blue.

Resident Assistants from all over the state submitted program proposals for the conference. Four RAs from FIU had their programs accepted and presented their sessions to other RAs. Panther Hall RAs, Jean Roseme & Sarah Maltbie were awarded best “Diversity Development” program and Lakeview North RA, Rachel Olmedo, was awarded best “Leadership Development” program. In addition, the RAs received the prestigious Spirit Award trophy, given annually to one institution’s delegation. Congratulations FIU RAs. We are proud of you!
