Personal Philosophy of Education
I chose exceptional student education as a career, because I want to make a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities. My experience in exceptional student education gives me confidence in my career direction and in my abilities to perform competently. I believe that knowledge is power. I also believe that teachers hold the keys to the future success of our countries. We are the ones that educate the future doctors, lawyers, politicians, scientists and future educators. We have a great responsibility as teachers, but I believe that with hard work and perseverance it can be accomplished.

Future Professional Goals
By completing a doctoral program in ESE, I would be closer to reaching my professional goal of creating and implementing programs into urban communities that meet the needs of students and individuals with disabilities.
