Project SAFE PASSAGE Curriculum

This program is a total of 36 credits. It has a common core of 27 credits in advanced areas of special education, plus 9 credits  in one of four areas of concentration: math, science, social studies, or English

  • EDP 6211 Educational Psychology: Foundations and Applications

  • EEX 6846 Seminar in Special Education: Issues and Trends
  • EEX 6535 Seminar in Special Education: Supervision and Leadership
  • EEX 6912 Advanced Theory and Research in Special Education
  • SPS 6199 Family/School Consultation and Collaboration
  • EEX 6765 Instructional Technology
  • EEX 6228 Integration of Assessment, Curriculum and Instruction

Area of concentration: EEX 6927 Special Topics in Special Education  (9 credits) (Math, Science, Social Studies or English) These 9 credits are offered in intensive Summer institutes conducted by Arts and Science, Curriculum and Instruction and/or Miami-Dade County Public Schools Curricular Experts.
