Dr. Beaulaurier earned a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California and an M.S.W. from the University of Washington. Dr. Beaulaurier's work has centered on advocacy for people with disabilities and qualitative inquiry into computer consultation. His recent article," Empowering People with Disabilities: The Role of Choice in Reconceptualizing Social Practice in Health and Rehabilitation Settings" appeared in Empowerment in Social Work Practice: A Sourcebook. In addition, Dr. Beaulaurier has developed data collection instruments and computer applications for a number of social service agencies and U.S.C. related research projects. Dr. Beaulaurier is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and has served on NASW's Social Workers and has served on NASW's Social Workers with Disabilities Task Force. Presently, Dr. Beaulaurier is an Assistant Professor of Social Work.
