The Master of Interior design degree is professional curricula composed of two years foundational undergraduate course work followed by three years of graduate course work. The department does not offer a bachelors degree. However we developed the accelerated Master of Interior degree program for students who enter the interior design major from highschool. This degree leads seamlessly from undergraduate lower division to an accelerated Master of Interior Design degree program. We also designed the Accelerated Master of Interior Design degree program to have several entry points so that applicants entering from highschool, with AA degrees, and even with bachelors degrees in different disciplines can take advantage of this unique and exciting program.

Students who have recently graduated from high school begin with admission at the freshman year. These graduate seeking students are admitted into the pre-graduate foundational curriculum. Pre-graduate students progress through the foundational interdisciplinary course work and those students who successfully complete the pre-graduate foundation will matriculate into the professional Master of Interior Design three year track.

Students who possess an AA degree in Interior Design, or in related fields of architecture or landscape architecture, may also apply for the Master of Interior Design degree program. These students apply for the MID graduate program and if accepted take the Master of Interior Design three year track. Depending on their background, some of these students may be asked to take leveling courses during summer semester before they begin the program.
Students who possess a baccalaureate degree in any discipline are also eligible to apply for the Master of Interior Design degree program. These students apply for the MID graduate program and if accepted take the Master of Interior Design three year track. Depending on their background, some of these students may be asked to take a semester of leveling courses before they begin the program.
