All applicants must meet University
graduate admissions requirements. Applicants to the
School of Architecture degree programs must also submit a
portfolio of creative work for School review. The deadline
for portfolio submission is Februray 1 of each year.
Portfolios submitted after this date will be considered if
studio space is available.
Admission is determined by an extensive
portfolio review that examines evidence of creative work,
academic success, and professional achievement. Please contact
the School of Architecture for specific portfolio requirements.
Students who have successfully completed
the portfolio review process must also meet the minimum requirements
of an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university
with an undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on
a 4.0 scale, or hold a graduate degree from an accredited
institution to be fully admitted in the graduate program.
When the academic record is less than 3.0 GPA, a minimum score
of 1000 on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is required
to complete for
admission.
Applicants must apply to Florida International University Graduate School and the School of Architecture separately.
