Crest Symbolism
The crest of the society draws heavily on the meaning behind the three Greek letters that form its name. Sigma stands for "synesis," meaning prudence, iota for "ideodoi," meaning ideals, and "rho" for "rhomi," meaning power.
SIGMA ( å ) for “synesi,” meaning Prudence;
IOTA ( I ) for “ideodoi,” meaning Ideals; and
RHO ( R ) for “romi,” meaning Power.
