This is a list of green current projects, and future ones hopefully for this Fall 2008 semester, so keep in touch!  Lots of opportunities to get active and participate!

             Although recycling may sound as dirty, and messy to do, it actually is a beautiful, responsible and personal way of showing responsibility for what you do with your trash.  Your everyday consumption patterns affect the planet that we live in, not even mention the future generations that will have to live with thousands of mountains trashmores because of our resilience to act now. 

Since we need to raise awareness about recycling, what better way to do it with art?  A wonderful masterpiece for a wonderful cause.

 

                 Did you know that  every meal that Americans put in their mouth travels around 1,300 miles in average? (U.S. Department of Energy).  Not anymore for the FIU community! Pretty soon, starting December 3rd, our first farmer’s market is going to have its kick off event with lots of local fruits, veggies, cool info, recipes, yoga classes, meditation classes, music and more! Don’t miss it!
