ACCREDITATION PROCESS

FIU is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).  The University will be considered for “reaffirmation of accreditation” in 2010. 

The Compliance Certification Report is due to SACS in September 2009. This report is based on Responses to the SACS Principles of Accreditation.  (see references link).

The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) must be a "carefully designed and focus course of action that addresses a well-defined issue or issues directly related to improving student learning outcomes. The QEP will be the Main Focus of the site visit in 2010.
