Initial value problems of the first order, numerical solutions, systems of differential equations, linear differential equations, Laplace transforms, series solutions.

    Tests and quizzes policy:

  • There will be two (2)midterm exams worth 100 points each, five quizzes worth 10 points each and a comprehensive final exam worth 150 points. The dates are 10/04 and 11/15 for the midterms; 09/06, 09/20, 10/18, 11/01 and 11/29 for the quizzes. The date for the final is Tuesday, December 11, 2007; 1700-1945. There are no make-up exams or quizzes. With a valid, verifiable reason for missing an exam, a waiver may be granted for the missed test. The final exam cannot be waived. An incomplete grade may be assigned upon presentation of a valid, verifiable reason for missing the scheduled test. The final should be taken during the next week of finals.
  • Grades: Grades will be assigned on the basis of 400 points.
