FIU's HUMANITIES PROGRAM
at the
 Biscayne Bay Campus

From Professor Harvey, Director of the Humanities Program:

Dear FIU students and prospective students: Studying the Humanities--from the classics of the ancient world to contemporary philosophy, literature, and art--will enrich your understanding of the world and your role in it. To know great thinkers, writers, and artists through the ages is to be given a critical lens to see what you would not otherwise see and to develop a lifelong and life-enhancing habit of active curiosity.

The Humanities faculty are devoted to developing students who are intellectually daring, enriched by the wisdom of the past, and committed to a better global future.

If you have a question about how FIU’s Humanities Program can further your life and career objectives--either as a Humanities Major or Minor--email Professor Harvey (harveyb@fiu.edu) or speak to any of the Humanities professors at the Biscayne Bay campus.
