About
me
After years of working in the engineering, computer technology
and communications I came to the realization that my work
was unrewarding and boring. I would pass the days working
in my office alone, sometimes not talking to anyone for days
at a time. The pay was good but at the end of the day I felt
like I was spinning my wheels and getting nowhere.
So in 2003 I when back to school and started a whole new
chapter in my life. Initially my interests where mainly focused
on physics and astronomy but soon my curiosity to find out
how things work got me interested in biology and chemistry.
A short time later I realized dentistry offered everything
I was looking for, the manual, hands on work, the science,
and best of all the social interaction that my last job lacked.
I quit working in 2005 and started going to school full-time.
During this time I had the opportunity to shadow my dentist
for about six months to get an inside perspective of a real
working dental office. My experiences there confirmed my desire
to pursue dentistry and motivated me to push even harder.
It's been a long, hard path with a lot of sacrifice but like
I was once told by an advisor "If it was easy everyone
would do it."
