Adrian Ang, Assistant Professor (Ph.D. University of Missouri); American Politics (Public Opinion, Voting Behavior, Congress), Comparative Politics (Canada).

Adrian Ang studies American Political Behavior and the Congress. His previous work analyzes, among other things, the role of cultural attitudes in structuring foreign policy attitudes, complexity in presidential rhetoric and foreign policy outcomes, and the impact of differential partisan retirement rates in Congress. He has also examined the effects of the religious cleavage on the party system and political attitudes in Canada. He has published articles in Political Research Quarterly and the Journal of Legislative Studies. His current research focuses on examining partisan polarization in foreign policy attitudes, partisan retirements in state legislatures, and the role of Congress in initiating economic sanctions. Ang received his Ph.D. from the University of Missouri in 2008.
