Where is Panther Camp?
Panther Camp takes place at Lake Placid Camp and Conference Center in Lake Placid, FL. Accommodations are cabins with bunk beds style sleeping quarters. All the cabins are air conditioned, carpeted and have indoor plumbing. It is about 3 hours north of FIU Modesto A. Maidique Campus.

How much is Panther Camp? What does the registration fee include?
The cost for Panther Camp 2010 has yet to be determined.  However, the registration fee includes EVERYTHING for the trip – food for all four days, lodging, transportation to and from the camp, and giveaways during Panther Camp.

Where will I be sleeping while at Panther Camp?
Males and females are separated into different cabins and all cabins have air-conditioning, carpet, and indoor plumbing.

How do I get to Panther Camp?
Our air-conditioned bus will take you there- we will leave the first day of camp from the Modesto A. Maidique Campus.

What should I bring to Panther Camp?
Once you register, we will keep you updated with packing lists and reminders.

Are parents allowed to attend Panther Camp?
No, panther camp is a getaway retreat for freshmen only. We encourage you to share your experience with your family and friends, but Panther Camp is only for new, incoming, first-year FIU students.

Which Panther Camp dates should I attend?
You may attend whichever camp you would like, but registration is on a first come first serve basis so if the second camp dates are already full you may only attend the first and vice versa.

Is there a difference between the two camp dates?
No, both camps are exactly the same. Due to an overwhelming increase in interest throughout the last couple years we have added a second Panther Camp to double the amount of available spaces for incoming students!

What if I am living on campus in the fall and need to move into my residence hall?
Once you register, your situation will be evaluated and we will work with housing to try and accommodate your needs to move in early or make arrangements so you can attend camp.

When is the last day to register/ pay for Panther Camp?
There is no set deadline. Registration is on a first come first serve basis. Spots are filling up fast so register today! We only accept registration with payment, you cannot reserve your spot until we receive payment.

What is the Cancellation Policy?
For cancellation prior to July 17, 2009 a 50% refund will be available but no refunds will be granted for cancellations after July 17.
