Panther Camp Mission
The Panther Camp mission is to provide incoming FIU students with the opportunity to transition to FIU in an exciting and engaging manner. The program focuses on assisting first year students in building relationships with other FIU students, fostering school spirit, cultivating future student leaders and helping students learn about FIU’s traditions and unique culture.
Space for the camp is limited and is on a first come first serve basis.

Panther Camp History
In 2006, Panther Camp hosted 25 eager freshmen who later went on to become involved in various facets of the FIU community.  In 2007, the camp grew to over 120 freshmen and 17 facilitators. In 2008, the camp again doubled in capacity and “pantherized” almost 200 freshman students at two separate camps, saw the creation of an Executive Board, and increased the number of facilitators to 20!  In 2009, camp grew to over 220 students, 20 facilitators & executive board members, and relocated to the beautiful Lake Placid Camp and Conference Center in Lake Placid, FL.  Panther Camp 2010 is already shaping up to be an amazing experience for those involved and we hope you consider being a part of the family and leaving your legacy at FIU with P.R.I.D.E.!
