OFFICE OF RETENTION MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Office of Retention is to engage all segments of the university population in programs and interventions to increase student graduation and retention rates. Activities include: 1) Data collection on retention and graduation rates at the University, College/School and program levels; 2) Data analysis on reports and distribution of results to the appropriate leadership; 3) Design and implementation of research strategies to determine reasons for student attrition by student cohorts and demographic segments; 4) Collaboration with program and service leaders across the university to develop and implement effective interventions based on the research; 5) Assessment of interventions in order to determine their effectiveness.
