Government agencies such as the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, General Accounting Office, National Institute of Health, U.S. Department of Agriculture as well as professional and service organization websites and search engines are scanned on a regular basis. Search engines include Medline Plus (National Institute of Health), On-line Computer Library Center FirstSearch Featured Database , Combined Health Information Database (National Institute of Health), and AARP Research Center AgeLine Database. Where available, all journal citations are linked to MEDLINE abstracts to other sources. Note that some of Medline's citations may not have an abstract available at the time it is posted on the web. Because the LTC Institute may not review materials or have first hand experience using such materials, users are asked to provide feedback on their value and appropriateness to target audiences. We encourage individuals to share with us information, resources, and comments that may be helpful to professionals and the public. When sending information regarding new resources, please include a synopsis of the resource and ordering details. If you are the author of a cited resource, please contact the Center by phone, mail, or email nutreldr@fiu.edu if edits are necessary. |
