8/02-present  Full-time graduate student and teacher assistant. Biology Department at Florida International University.
9/00-8/02   Consultant (Botany). Andean Bear Conservation Project.  EcoCiencia NGO.  Duties included development of methods to classify forest types in Sangay National Park and Cayambe-Coca Ecological Reserve, taxonomy identification, botanical collections, data analysis and report writing.
02/98-05/99  Undergraduate thesis student.  Rare Plant Conservation Project in Ecuadorian National Parks.  QCA Herbarium, PUCE, INEFAN/GEF Project.  Phaedranassa (Amaryllidaceae) study.
10/95- 8/02   Field assistant on environmental impact studies of mining operations in Ecuador (El Pangui, Zamora-Chinchipe; Chical, Sucumbios province; Tena, Napo province; Malal, Cañar province; La Bonita, Sucumbios province; Celica, Loja province; Chinapinza, Zamora-Chinchipe province). Duties included bibliographic information research, surveys with local inhabitants, botanical collection and taxonomy identification.
