Kathleen Kerstetter is the Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Music Education at Florida International University. Dr. Kerstetter is a native of Baltimore, MD and earned her B.S. in Music Education at Towson University. Later she earned her M.M. and Ph.D. in Music Education from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami. Dr. Kerstetter has taught instrumental and general music at both the elementary and secondary level. Additionally, she spent time as an Educational Representative for American Music, Inc. in Longwood, FL, where she promoted products and services to music educators and parents as well as guest conduction and holding music clinics for her clients. Dr. Kerstetter has been an invited presenter at the Australian Society for Music Education’s national conference. Her current research involve technology and music education.
