The FIU Opera Theater is one of the most exciting new ensembles in the School of Music. The ensemble is made up of select soloists from the Voice Division. Each semester the students study and perform arias and complete roles from the traditional and non-traditional opera repertoire. Students learn basic and advanced acting techniques and they apply their skills in regular public performances in the Wertheim Performing Arts Center.   In addition to recitals of opera scenes, the FIU Opera Theater also performs complete and one-act operas every year.
