The Symphony Orchestra’s main objectives are to provide support and motivation for the successful individual development of the students, and to give them a unique opportunity to practice and learn both the varied repertory and the operation of a symphony orchestra in a protected and guided atmosphere, in order to give the best preparation for their future. It is also one of the largest and most important performing groups of the University, a showcase of many of the exciting possibilities and results offered by the Music School. Auditions are held either individually by appointment, or the first week of each term of school for the registered applied instrumental students.
