Donations to the construction of the new building
The Museum has been named for Patricia and Phillip Frost in recognition of their longstanding support of The Art Museum at FIU and for their leadership in raising funds for this project. The Frosts contributed the naming gift and have been influential in attracting other donors to help fund the new Museum at a total project cost of nearly $19 million.
The generosity and dedication of our donors has made possible the construction of a magnificent physical structure worthy of the Museum's soaring prominence and strong scholarly foundations. The generous outpouring from our friends again confirms South Florida's appreciation of the Museum’s programs. The new facility will allow us to greatly expand our cultural and educational offerings for the entire community.
We encourage everyone to be involved in the realization of this new state-of-the-art facility. There are naming opportunities available for the Avenue of the Arts, the Lakeside Sculpture Gardens, as well as the Museum café and shop. Additionally, donor participation in the Dahlia Morgan Members Lounge and the Friends of the Frost Art Museum Atrium is still welcome. All gifts made to the building campaign will qualify for a 100% state match.
The new building is expected to open in 2008. We encourage you to become involved at this exciting moment in the Frost Art Museum’s history!
