Based on SEC documents, bankruptcy court filings, reorganization plans, and news sources, provides data searchable by various factors, from company name to creditors, securities, financial profile, etc.  Includes U.S. companies with assets of $1million (1980-88) or, after 1988, public with $10 million or private with $50 million in assets.

Available through computers near windows in ERC (Green Library, 2nd floor).

Current   A comprehensive collection of content that ranges from a listing of SEC filings dating back to 1967 (including all EDGAR filings), Annual Reports to Shareholders from 33,00 companies in 115 countries, complete SEDAR filings (Canada), and No-Action letters as early as 1971.  Also has information on mergers & acquisitions, registrations, and prospectuses since 1996.  Additional libraries include a comprehensive SEC library as well as a company news, quotes, & financials database.

This is a CD database run on the Library's internal network, so it must be used within the ERC on 2nd floor, Green Library.  Covers both public and private transactions involving at least 5% of the company value (prior to 1993, value must => $1mm.)  Transactions include, mergers, acquistions, LBOs, stake purchases, tender offers, stock swaps, privatizations, spinoffs, etc.  Searchable data factors includes over 1,400 data elements.     An instruction guide is available:  Worldwide Mergers & Acquisitions Instructions.
    This is a CD database run on the Library's LAN.
