Description of the Course

PHY 5347 is the second half of a graduate level course on classical electromagnetic theory. It covers the topics of electromagnetic waves in bounded regions, electromagnetic radiation, scattering and diffraction, the relavistic formulation of electromagnetism, and electromagnetic processes involving relativistic particles.

Grades

Grades will be based on the problem assignments and two exams each weighted 1/3 of your total grade.

Problem assignments are given on the problems sets page and will be collected on the due dates specified on that page. Late assignments will not be accepted.
