TEXT: The course will not follow any one text.  Each student should have had a course in Biochemistry and have  a relatively current text of Biochemistry such as Lehninger, Struyer, Voet and Voet,  Garret and Grisham, etc.  Course material will utilize review and original research articles.

Attendance and Participation in the class discussions: mandatory.

Pedagogical Philosophy:  Outside of a couple of lectures by the instructors, the course will focus on review articles for discussion.  Students will then choose specific original research papers from the review articles or papers published after the review article was published.  Each student will make a presentation (~15 minutes) on the original research articles.

Total Grade: Grade will be determined by participation in class and presentation of original research articles.
