Minutes Merit and Evaluation Review Committee 11/12/1998 North Miami Library Present: Doug, Patricia, Elaine, John, Nancy, Mirtha 1. Approval of minutes. The minutes were approved as corrected. 2. Discussion of Performance Review issues: Part 1: Job Assignment Form, would remain separate, would still agreed upon between employee and supervisor, would include time percentages for broad categories. Part 2: Goal-setting and Self-evaluation, goals and objectives which are drafted by the employee in consultation with the supervisor, would be derived from Job Assignment Forms, self-evaluation would remain textual in format. Part 3: Evaluation Form, used by supervisors and for merit pay increases, would be numerically scored. 3. Committee dispersed into 2 groups to work on job assignment and MBO form: Job assignment: John, Patricia, Mirtha MBO form: MBO's: Doug and Valerie Supervisory response: Nancy and Elaine. Other minute notes: Communicating committee findings, work, progress, and proposals should be shared with library staff via email and web pages, discussed at department head meetings, and presented in hearings after formulating a recommendation. The next meeting is at the Green Library, Rm. 835, on December 2, 1998, 9:090 AM. Teams should be ready to present their work, proposals, and rough drafts at that meeting.
