• Development of a mission statement that will define information literacy and library instruction for the University Libraries.
• Identify goals and objectives for the libraries encompassing both information literacy and library instruction. While a variety of individual teaching strategies may be used, it is important that all those involved share a common set of goals.
• Identify outcomes desired.
• Identify resources required for the above; and what can be accomplished without additional resources.
• Establish common assessment or evaluation tools and methods to be used to assess the effectiveness of the programs.
