Interdisciplinary Colloquia
Two three-hour courses which
deal with topics cutting across disciplinary lines involving faculty from
several departments of the College. They deal with various cross-disciplinary
themes, and enable students to see faculty from several disciplines work
on one problem, from various points of view. The Interdisciplinary Colloquia
may also bring in guests from outside the University. Several sections
of this course are offered each semester, each section dealing with a different
topic. Students are urged to take this course as early as possible in their
career at F.I.U. No courses may substitute for the Colloquium. These courses
are listed each semester in the printed schedule under the Liberal Studies
heading.
