The Life Course and
Health
Research Center
at
Florida International University
The FIU Life Course and health Research Center has been in operation since September 1999. Previously, the center operated at the University of Miami as part of UM's Sociology Research Center. Upon moving to Florida International University, we received certification as a Class III research Center. We conduct Sociological research under the supervision of Center Director Dr. R. Jay Turner.
We are located on the second floor of the Deuxieme Maison (DM) Building in FIU's University Park Campus. We occupy a large portion of the 240 wing of this floor, Including several rooms for interviewing purposes. Our main office number is DM 243.
We currently employ over a dozen full time employees and approximately twice as many interviewers for both of our studies.
