Creating web sites - 10 steps to success

1. Make it easy to upload files to your www account using Web-DAV.

2. create web pages using any program that is easy for you (Front Page, Netscape Composer, even Word)

3. save files as .html or .pdf

4. create links to other pages (use exact names - case matters here!)

5. your home page should be titled 'index.html'

6. other pages can be named whatever you like

7. if you organize using folders, be sure to include the folder name before the file name

8. add new pages when available, update links on index.html, upload using Web-DAV

9. view result in browser

10. call your mother/friend/neighbor and tell her/him to visit your web site at www.fiu.edu/~userid

Now you are doomed to spending the rest of your life adding more stuff.
