The Genealogy and Contact Website of the Kuzniewski & Kneski Families Around the World.

Welcome

This is the Kuzniewski and Kneski Journal, a written account of the ongoing Kuzniewski Genealogy Project in the United States and Poland. This sight was launched in June of 1997 and has been continuously active ever since. Thousands of people from over thirty countries have viewed the website since then and contributed bits and pieces of information and inquiries from time to time. The name Kuzniewski is a proud part of the history of Poland, and subsequently of the United States. This website is a testament that members of the family have figured in significant civil, military, and religious events on both sides of the Atlantic for centuries, and this should be recorded for future generations.

Polish Baroque Sw. Jakuba Church, Koziebrody,

, the ancestral home of the Kuzniewski family.

Connecting with the extended family around the world, from Poland, to Australia, to Brazil, combined with genealogical research collected about the five immigrants to America, Antoni Kuzniewski (1864-1945), Roman Kuzniewski (1891-1953), Anna Kuzniewska, Wojciech Kuzniewski (1845-1920), and Ignatius Kuzniewski (died 1918) , was the foundation for compiling this site and creating a genealogical bridge across time and the ocean. The primary goals in launching the journal were: to heighten awareness of and pride in the extended family, and to encourage others to participate in the research of their own particular branch of the Kuzniewski / Kneski ancestry. Of course we trust that this website will be of interest to other genealogists, historians, and Poles not in the family as well.
