1) Come on time. Latecomers will be accepted, but being late adds a lot of extra stress!
2) Bring a number 2 pencil. Pencils will NOT be provided by the instructor.
3) Bring a photo ID (Your driver's licence or FIU ID)
4) Do NOT bring a scantron. These I will provide.
5) Do NOT bring a periodic table. There is one in your exam.
6) Bring a simple calculator. (Log/exp) functions are allowed. Graphing applications are NOT.
7) Before the exam, turn off (or completely silence) your cellular phone, place it in your bag, and place the bag with all your books and notes in the front of the class. If your cellphone rings during the exam, your exam will end, and you will be asked to leave, as a punishment for disrespecting your colleagues who are trying to concentrate. If you are caught texting or receiving text messages, it will be considered a serious offence, and breach of academic honesty, with the known severe consequences.
8) After you are finsihed with your exam, sign and date your original, make sure that all the information in your scantron, (including exam form) are filled, show your ID to the TA or myself, and you are ready to go. You are NOT allowed to take the exam original or your scantron out of the room for any reason.
9) Last minute Study tips: I ANTICIPATE YOU WILL DO WELL BECAUSE I NOTICED MOST OF YOU ARE DOING THE HOMEWORKS.  Homeworks are very important and study them before taking the exam. This does not mean that the questions will be identical to homeworks (some may be).

Do not spend much time in reading the book on things that I did not talk about, or are not at all in any of the homeworks.  Scroll through the class notes. DO NOT PULL AN ALL-NIGHTER. Most likely the benefit of studying more, will be outweighed by lack of concentration due to missing sleep, which may result in silly mistakes.
GOOD LUCK:) THE EXAM WILL BE VERY REASONABLE, AND AS ALWAYS I WILL CURVE!

The homeworks that are given to you on this site under the link "homeworks"consist of sets of questions (mostly multiple choice) and they are not going to be graded unless you login into the wiley plus website and submit them electronically for up to 5% extra credit. Please visit this website after the lecture for each chapter and before the recommended due date and answer the questions. I will post answers shortly after the recommended due date. It is good practice and fun, and it will prepare you for the exams!

The "Raymond book website" (public website) can be used for accessing the web-based material of the textbook, and for practicing.

It is strongly recommended that you do the homeworks and practice. Please also be advised that a large portion of the exam questions will be based on the homework problems and practice questions from the book, as assigned.

Are you sure your name is actually included in the classroll? To confirm please connect frequently during the semester to MyFiu. Please check after the due date for paying the tuition and after the midterm drop due date,  because then is when more of the accidental drop incidents occur. No matter how hard you study, if you are not enrolled you are not going to get a grade.  What a pity!
