HOWARD WASSERMAN

Howard Wasserman is assistant professor and a founding
faculty member at the Florida International University College of Law.
He holds a J.D. and B.S from Northwestern University. His scholarship
focuses on the First Amendment freedom of expression and he is working
on a larger project on the role and effect of free speech in sports. His
most recent publications include: "If you Build it, They Will Speak: Public
Stadiums, Public Forums, and Free Speech, NINE, Vol. 12 (forthcoming 2005);
Cheers, Profanity, and Free Speech, Journal of College and University Law,
Vol. 31 (forthcoming 2005);Continuity of Congress: A Play in Three
Stages, Catholic University Law Review, Vol. 53, p. 949 (2004); and Symbolic
Counter-Speech, William & Mary Bill of Rights Journal, Vol. 12, p.
367 (2004). He is an avid baseball fan and a former college basketball
coach.
