JUDITH H. STIEHM




Judith H. Stiehm earned her Ph.D. at Columbia University.  She has taught Political Theory, Social Change, Status of Women, Civil-Military Relations. Judith's major Publications include Nonviolent Power: Active and Passive Resistance in America, Bring Me Men and Women: Mandated Change at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Arms and the Enlisted Woman, It's Our Military Too!  Honors: President, Western Political Science Association, Women's Caucus in Political Science; Member: California Postsecondary Education Commission, Defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Services, Council on Foreign Relations; Winner: Phi Kappa Phi Book Award, Victoria Schuck Book Award; Who's Who; Distinguished Civilian Service Medal; Consultant: UN Division for the Advancement of Women, UNESCO, YWCA National Board, Union of Soviet Socialist Republics Women's Committee.
