My research interests include personnel selection techniques, with an emphasis on emotional intelligence. I am also interested in how organizational turnover and disruption impact firm performance. I work for Burger King Corp. where I am most deeply involved in leadership development as well as performance appraisal and management.

My research interests include cross-cultural differences, conflict management, negotiations,
personality, and training. Before entering the PhD program at FIU I spent more than 14 years in middle management positions for large corporations such as FedEx and Home Depot, in top level management positions in smaller organizations in the healthcare industry, and as an owner operator of a standard bred racehorse business.

My research and professional interests include job analysis, structured employment interviewing, training evaluation, performance management, and career development. Prior to joining the I/O program I was a management consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and a project Manager with IBM Business Consulting Services.  During my time with these organizations I mainly focused on assessing business process and human resource issues in the Federal Government.

My research interests include employment interviews, group dynamics, leadership, and cross-cultural adjustment. Some of my I/O work experiences include (a) personnel psychologist  for the Department of the Navy at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, FL (co-op position while attending UWF), (b) Human Resources Director for National Business Communications in Clearwater, FL (small telemarketing company), and (c) trained assessor for Transitions Optical, Inc. Largo, FL where I participated in applicant assessment centers. I enjoy golf, scuba, and travel. I am also a big fan of roller coasters.

I am mainly interested in personnel selection - particularly the interview and recruitment processes. I was an associate manager at a retail store for 2 years and was a research assistant at the Institute of Business Appraisers this past summer. I really enjoy reading and going to the movies, also I love hanging out at the beach!
