| The Department of International Relations is unusually multidisciplinary. Our faculty specialize in development, foreign policy, gender studies, geography (political, economic, and social), history, international law and organizations, national security, political economy, political psychology, and state/society relations in a transnational context. The Department is closely tied through faculty research and course offerings to the University's internationally-known Latin American and Caribbean Center. The Department is also a joint sponsor, along with the School of International Studies at the University of Miami, of a research colloquium on international relations theory. The faculty's regional expertise covers Africa, China, Europe, the Middle East, and Russia and Central Eurasia. And, every year, the Department hosts several visiting scholars and guest lecturers. |
